Analyze large amounts of data with High Performance Computing

Analyze large amounts of data with High Performance Computing Online

Supercomputers let you analyze large amounts of data and execute complex computations much faster than you would otherwise be able to. While supercomputers were once difficult to use, and only accessible to a select few, nowadays all CBS students can have the power of high-performance computing at their fingertips.

Benefits from this course

  • Overview of the national HPC facilities and the resources that are available at CBS.
  • An in-depth introduction to the UCloud platform (Type-1 HPC).
  • Run our 1st job on UCloud.
  • Using Conda for efficient library/package management on UCloud
  • Introduction to parallel programming.

Prerequisite

Participants should have a basic knowledge and experience with a common programming language (e.g. Python, R, Stata or Matlab) and have an interest or involvement in data science projects.
