HPC & Parallel Programming in R Online

To utilize the potential of the available HPC resources at CBS it is necessary for you to be familiar with the fundamentals of parallel programming and how these are implemented in the programming language of choice.

In this session we will focus on the R - a programming language for statistical computing that is widely used within the scientific community for a broad range of applications, such as machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and natural language processing (NLP).

  • Parallel programming basics within R.
  • Example of parallelization of a ML models using the Tidymodels framework.

Prerequisite

Preferably you are an experienced user of R and programming language and have an interest or involvement in data science projects.
