To utilize the potential of the available HPC resources it is necessary for the user to have the fundamentals of parallel programming and how these are implemented in the programming language of choice.

In this session we will focus on the Python - a high level, general-purpose programming language that is widely used within the scientific community for a broad range of application e.g. machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP).

  • Parallel programming basics within Python.
  • Example of parallelization of a ML models using the scikit-learn library.

Prerequisite

Participants should preferable be experienced users of Python R and as programming language and interested/involved with some kind of data science work/project.
