PhD annual event, an informal lunch meeting on Publishing Your Monograph: Should you be concerned about copyright and self-plagiarism?
Many Scholars find themselves reusing text they have written previously. Dissertation chapters become journal articles, working papers become book chapters, and so on. Sometimes, however, doubts arise about the legitimacy of “repurposing” our writing. Should you be concerned about the copyright of the publishers? Is “self-plagiarism” something to worry about?
In this session, CBS Library’s resident writing consultant, Thomas Basbøll, will present a way of thinking through these issues and, hopefully, give you some peace of mind about republishing your writing.
After a short presentation, there will be plenty of time for questions.
NB: Also relevant for those writing paper-based theses.
Bring your lunch. 🙂
