Ouriginal: Detecting and reporting plagiarism

Ouriginal: Detecting and reporting plagiarism Online

Plagiarism is on the rise and cases are turning increasingly complex. To support the process of scrutinizing suspected cases of plagiarism, Ouriginal, a text matching software, has been imbedded in the digital exam submission flow at CBS for convenient access.

Join CBS Library for a brief introduction to Ouriginal and learn more about detection and reporting. We will take a look at key functionalities that can help you navigate documents flagged for scrutiny in an efficient and meaningful way and discuss how to understand and report findings.

The course will also present formative resources that you may want to push to your students to help them avoid accidental plagiarism.

Topics will include:

  • Plagiarism at CBS at a glance
  • Introduction to the Ouriginal workspace
  • How to interpret system outputs
  • Reporting
