SUMMARY:CBS Study Start Test 2026 – A preview for teaching staff
DESCRIPTION:The CBS Study Start Test on Academic Integrity has been a
mandatory part of the onboarding of new CBS students since
2021.\n\n\n\nRegister for this webinar\, to get a headstart on current
rules and practices as well as inspiration for classroom discussions about
best practice in academia. \n\n\n\nWhat you will gain\n\n\n	An overview of
the main messages and focus areas of the 2026 Study Start Test on Academic
Integrity. \n	Knowledge of common integrity challenges faced by CBS
students. \n	Inspiration and practical ideas for incorporating academic
integrity discussions into your own teaching.\n\n\n\n\nWhy it
matters\n\nThe CBS Study Start Test on Academic Integrity was introduced in
response to a growing number of plagiarism cases\, and findings from a 2018
study showed that approximately one-third of CBS students had little or no
understanding of key academic integrity concepts\, including plagiarism and
self-plagiarism.\n\n\n\nSince then\, CBS has worked systematically to
empower students by strengthening their understanding of integrity in
academia. \n\n\n\nAs of the 2024 summer intake\, all CBS students have
 completed the test\, and a follow-up study conducted in 2024 showed a
substantial increase in students’ confidence in their academic work\, up
 24 % from 70% to 94%.\n\n\n\nTeaching staff play a crucial role in
reinforcing these messages and helping students navigate integrity
challenges throughout their academic journey.\n\n\n\nWho is it for?\n\nCBS
teaching staff who wish to stay updated on academic integrity rules and
regulations and to inform discussions about responsible academic practice
in their courses.\n\n\n\nHow it works\n\nA one-hour showcase of the 2026
Study Start Test on Academic Integrity\, followed by suggestions for
integrating academic integrity discussions in classroom activities.
